BAR Kiraware Yasai
Review By: John Fragglepuss Evans
Genre: Comedy, Short-Form, Bar, Vegetables
First Aired: Spring 2015, 13 short-form episodes
Summary: This is a story focused on unappreciated vegetables that people hate. The series introduces new vegetables each episode that visit the same bar to share drinks together while they talk about their worries, and for some reason the bartender is a real human.
BAR Kiraware Yasai does not give you enough time in each episode to figure out what is happening. It does not even give you enough time in the entire series to figure out the deal is with these vegetables. Apparently they are fed up with being despised and not tasting delicious, but of course none of them want to be the most disgusting vegetable, so that is something to argue about. The idea is humorous, and obviously this is a light-hearted series good for a quick laugh, maybe between watching something dark and depressing in order to bring your spirits back up. I will say this, this is the most entertaining group of vegetables I have ever met!
You might enjoy this if: You are ready for Cheers (every episode in a bar, everybody knows your name), but with quirky vegetables.
You might not like it if: You do not have 15 minutes to spare to watch the entire series.
Note to the Viewer: What is the deal with that eggplant?
This should give you an idea of what BAR Kiraware Yasai is all about:
