Summary: Toru Acura is a 20-year-old retired soldier that now has no direction in his life, ever since the war ended five years prior. He is traveling with his adopted sister, Akari, as they wander aimlessly through life. They encounter a girl named Chaika Trabant carrying a coffin in the mountains. Immediately things start to get weird and exciting. They follow Chaika in hopes of finding meaning in their lives again.
Chaika – The Coffin Princess has a vibrant animation style with a lot of color. It is quick to get things rolling in the story with a fast-paced and exciting first episode. There is magic in the world, but there is a different spin on it that makes it unique and intriguing. There are a lot of unique weapons that also keep you interested in the anime.
You might enjoy this if: You want to watch an adventure with twists, turns, and heartfelt moments.
You might not like it if: A blood rainstorm is too much for you.
Note to the Viewer: Episode 5 is a real doozy.
