I Can’t Understand What My Husband is Saying / Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken
Review By: John Fragglepuss Evans
Genre: Comedy, Slice of Life, Romance, Short-Form Otaku Nerdiness
First aired: Fall 2014, 13 Short-Form Episodes.
Summary: This short-form anime follows the daily life of an earnest, hardworking office woman named Kaoru and her otaku husband, Hajime. Hajime makes a living as an otaku blogger and his wife does not understand this strange world of his.
I am still trying to figure out how this seemingly normal woman got together with this completely otaku man. They do not appear to have anything in common. He does not understand her and she does not understand him. Despite having nothing in common, they get along and have good times together.
You might enjoy this if: You want to quickly start and finish an anime that has a lot of otaku references.
You might not like it if: You do not know what an otaku is.
Note to the Viewer: Do not fret, their relationship eventually starts to make sense.
