Glasslip
Review By: John Fragglepuss Evans
Genre: Romance, Slice of Life, Supernatural, Glass Blowing
First aired: Summer 2014, 11 episodes so far
Summary: The daughter of a glass artisan family, Fukami Touko, spends relaxed days at a cafe that doubles as a friend’s house. On the summer vacation of her third year in high school Okikura Kakeru transfers to this area. He told Touko that he can hear the voices of the future, and she tells him that that she can do the same. Meanwhile, their group of friends are all in love with each other, but everyone is in love with someone else.
The majority of this slice of life romance focuses on the infatuation of one character with another. This person loves that person, but that person loves another person, and that other person does not know who they love. You get the idea. There is that supernatural aspect of being able to see into the future, but as of this point in the story, it is barely mentioned and not a major focus.
You might enjoy this if: Everybody being in love with someone different is the type of romance that you enjoy watching.
You might not like it if: You are searching for more of the supernatural aspect.
Note to the Viewer: There is not as much of a focus on the glass blowing as one would hope. There is a lot of focus on chickens for some reason though.
